Who we are
We’re the University of Leeds Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu society, a passionate and growing community dedicated to the art of BJJ.
Our society was founded in 2020 and, after enduring the hardships of Covid, has emerged stronger and more vibrant than ever. Our core mission is to give every student the opportunity to try this incredible martial art, whether you're a complete beginner or have trained before, and hopefully, you'll learn to love it as much as we do.
But we’re more than what happens on the mats, we also love to socialise. With over 100 members each year, we run a variety of socials from taking on ninja warrior courses to classic pub crawls, and not to mention our monthly meetup with an open bar in the city centre! We hope, that joining us you’ll find an amazing community of like-minded students, and a place to build lasting connections.

We've partnered with Gamefight Leeds, one of the city's top martial arts gyms, to offer all society members an exclusive student discount!
